Ingredients: 2 cup butter, softened – 1 cup white sugar – 1 cup packed brown sugar – 2 eggs – 2 teaspoons vanilla extract – 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 2 teaspoons hot water – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips – 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Prep: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips. Drop large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned

Prep: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add water, white sugar and brown sugar, and bring to a boil. Reduce temperature and let simmer. Place bottom crust in your pan. Fill with apples, mounded slightly. Cover with a lattice work crust. Gently pour the sugar and butter liquid over the crust. Pour slowly so that it does not run off. Bake on 350 degrees F for 45 minutes, until apples are soft and crust golden brown
